11 Months To Go!!

Tomorrow, Phillip and I will have been engaged for 10 months, and have about 11 more to go! It’s hard to believe that we’re halfway through our engagement. It feels like he proposed just yesterday. They weren’t kidding when they all said it would go by so quickly. I just hop I can drag out the next 11 months so I’m not saddened with how fast it went by.

One week from today I will be embarking on my first wedding dress shopping trip. I will have a rather large enterouge, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I am especially excited that both my mom and Phillip’s mom are able to go and that Heather has arranged it so she’ll be in town. Yay! I can’t wait to starting picking through and narrowing down my options.

I will most likely not make a decision next weekend, but will find out what I like and what I don’t like. I have a couple of places to go down here in College Station with Tabitha and then have another weekend filled with appointments on the 31st back home. I tallied it up last night and if I only go to the salons I’m thinking of going to at this point, I will have gone to 8 places before making my decision.

If you know anything about me, you know how terrible I am at picking out dresses. Prom was nearly a disaster and we spent an entire weekend trying on dresses through tears and anger before finding the perfect one. I can only imagine how difficult the wedding dress shopping process will be if prom was that much of a fiasco.

This is why I’m going in prepared. I am taking at least two weeks to go through and try on every dress I possibly can. I”m exhausting all options so that I don’t regret buying one when I find a dress I like better down the road. Hopefully after going through meticulously, I can make a decision and put an order in by mid-August. That would be ideal. I’m just glad I’m taking the time to do this now before school gets crazy and I feel forced into making a decision.

I will definitely keep you posted as much as possible. I don’t, after all, want to give away too much information for wandering Phillip eyes who reads this blog.
