Happy Independence Day

First of all, if you subtract the time from the last entry, you know that I got entirely too little sleep last night. This holds even more true when you find out that I stayed up an extra hour on top of that. This brings the grand total to just under 7 hours of sleep. And I actually feel well-rested. I guess it’s the routine I’ve gotten into down at school. I find it difficult to sleep in anymore.

So today is a very important day for our country. I love this day because everyone gets so patriotic. Plus, I find it really amusing that pretty much the entire country does the exact same thing to celebrate the 4th – we eat bbq and watch fireworks. I mean, I know other holidays we all do the same thing (like Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving). However, I’m pretty sure this is the only holiday in which we all eat the exact same food and traditions don’t vary too much.

Happy 4th of July! I hope all of you have as much fun as I will be having between two wonderful families. :)
